INSPIRED BY LONDON’S

CREATIVE QUARTER Milliken has extended its popular Clerkenwell carpet tile collection with the addition of three dynamic new designs. The Clerkenwell collection is inspired by the vibrant and creative area Milliken has been proud to call its London home since 2001. The area houses a rich and diverse community and has become one of the most important design hubs in the world.

The three new designs – Travelling Line, Angled Walk and Ely Place - have been created to coordinate and complement the current collection, launched in 2015. The Clerkenwell collection is made up of multi-tile pattern formations now composed of five coordinated designs in nine colour families. Designers are given a kit of parts which they can use to create a unique floor plane and the collection is aimed at corporate, office and contemporary hospitality environments.

The Clerkenwell collection was created by Milliken’s UK design team. Their

vision in Travelling Line was realised by placing lines in opposition and colours that contrast to create dynamism with structure across the floor plane. Lines travel, turning sharply in different directions converging as they meet. In Angled Walk the designers employed angles of colour encompassed by a common line, bold and coordinating, geometrically fixed, with interior angles measured and articulate in their course. Ely Place is smaller in its scale with multiple dimensions, faceted cut formations, co-ordinating balance and a succession of degrees all triangular in their form, ratios of geometry.

Clerkenwell is produced in an ISO14001 certified facility in Wigan, UK using ethically sourced and wherever possible, locally produced materials. Clerkenwell is produced using ECONYL yarn with 100% regenerated nylon. Offering the same strength and lifecycle as fibre crafted from virgin polymer. ECONYL fibre is made from a minimum of 50% pre-consumer and 50% post- consumer content reducing resource consumption and waste. Clerkenwell

carpet tiles feature 90% recycled content cushion backing offering underfoot comfort, improved acoustics and superior appearance retention leading to extended product life.

To further reduce its environmental impact, Clerkenwell can be supplied with Milliken’s patented TractionBack an innovative backing system that enables adhesive free installation and therefore improves indoor air quality, speeds installation and reduces materials usage. Clerkenwell has the added security of the following third party certifications: manufactured in compliance with ISO14001, EPD verified, CRI Green Label Plus and GuT Certified. Clerkenwell with TractionBack is eligible for LEEDR points. Responsible end of life re-use is assured with the option to return used Clerkenwell carpet through Milliken’s ‘Carpet Take Back’ programme. All of the designs are available within 10 days as part of Milliken’s new ‘Quick Ship’ programme.
