for Excellence in Flooring has been training industry professionals since 2012, its specialised fitting bays and training centre among the best equipped in the country. Having seen hundreds of industry professionals through its doors, the Academy is now looking new again thanks to a refurbishment of its ground floor.

Of course, no makeover would be complete without a stunning new floor and the Academy has showcased two of the latest styles from leading manufacturer and supporter, Quick- Step in the new Majestic waterproof laminate collection of super-long and extra-wide planks, as well as the striking chevron patterned Intenso engineered wood.

Public and breakout areas have also been updated to enhance the

experience of visitors, bringing the Academy for Excellence in Flooring right up to date and making it the country’s most modern and well- equipped flooring training facility.

Lee Thompson, procurement and technical manager said: “We’ve seen more and more installers, retailers and merchants come through the Academy’s doors every year and having been open for six- years, it was certainly time to breathe new life into the centre. With our fresh breakout and public spaces, our facility is even more welcoming than before and with some of the best equipped training bays in the country, the Academy is certainly ready for the next generation of Master Installers and retailers, merchants and industry professionals looking to expand their knowledge.”

The update to the Academy’s impressive facility follows hot on the heels of improvements to the benefits of its Master Installer programme, including a lifetime warranty period for all installation work. The workmanship warranty has been critical in winning work for many Master Installers and as an extension from the original two-year period, this update is sure to win them even more work.
