FLOWCRETE UK ENHANCES SELF LEVELLING

SCREED SYSTEMS Flowcrete UK has reformulated a number of popular, high-performance screed systems to provide enhanced benefits for both applicators and clients.

The resin flooring manufacturer is relaunching several of its polymer cement, self-levelling screed systems after undertaking a detailed process of analysis and testing, in order to create

products that not only make it easier for applicators to install but which will create superior screed systems.

The revitalised products are:

• Flowscreed Industrial Top • Isocrete SL Base (formerly Isocrete Self Level Base)

• Isocrete SL Plus (formerly Isocrete Self Level Plus)

• Isocrete SL Renovation (formerly Isocrete Self Level Renovation)

• Isocrete 1500 • Isocrete 4000 • Isocrete 5000

Already a firm favourite of many large-scale industrial and commercial developments, the new formulations utilise robust technology to offer application properties that include good flow characteristics, improved dimensional stability and being less sensitive to elevated application temperatures, which eliminates the tendency to separate.

NEW DESSO COLLECTIONS INSPIRED

BY THE CITY Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable flooring solutions, has launched two new DESSO carpet tile collections inspired by urban outdoor environments – Street View and Street Tracks

Street View and Street Tracks are each available in eight colours and allow architects and designers to play with material effects to create an urban, industrial feel within open-plan office spaces.

Both collections can be used individually for a striking design statement, or together by marrying complementary colours to create zoning for breakout areas, corridors or walkways.

Inspired by a birds-eye view of outdoor urban environments, the Street View collection has a natural textured appearance to create a subtle design statement in large office interiors. The 50x50cm carpet tiles offer a two-tone background combined with a subtle hint of colour, designed to create a contemporary finish that evokes a sense of movement across the floor.

The bold and dramatic Street Tracks collection is available in 100x50cm plank-shaped tiles. Each tile features a random pattern and two-toned background in combination with an accent colour, offering a standout visual effect for unique, open plan design schemes. The selection of neutral and bold colour options, perfectly complements the colours in the Street View collection.

Ludwig Cammaert, design and technical development director for DESSO carpets commented: “The Street View and Street Tracks collections have been created to give architects and designers

a wealth of colour, texture and pattern options to create truly unique spaces. The urban landscape is such an important design reference bringing the outdoors inside. Designers can use this inspiration to create bold, dramatic effects or for more subtle hints of an outdoor environment.”

In line with our ongoing commitment to sustainability, both collections come with DESSO EcoBase as the standard backing. This backing contains at least 70% positively defined recycled content, in accordance with Cradle to Cradle principles.

Both applicators and end users will benefit from the fact that the new systems are able to quickly deliver a high strength screed that will dry very quickly even at maximum thicknesses.

The application and curing time of the screeds allow for floorcoverings and coatings to be laid on the same day, significantly speeding up the overall programme of a flooring project. The end result is that applicators can move on to new projects and clients can be sure of a completed flooring project much earlier than would be feasible with alternative materials.

Flowcrete UK’s Managing Director, Kevin Potter, said: “Reformulating our collection of self-levelling screeds has brought them right up to date with the complex demands of the modern construction industry, being able to achieve high quality results within a short turn-around is extremely important.”
