VINTAGE CHARM FROM MODULYSS FOR
COMPASSION UK The vintage charm of Patchwork carpet tiles by modulyss has brought a warm and relaxing atmosphere to the offices of Compassion UK, a charity passionate about empowering children to overcome poverty.
Relocating to a new building in Fleet, Hampshire, Compassion tasked design and fit-out specialists Blue Jelly to create a welcoming, non- corporate look that was a little out of the ordinary. With Compassion’s team of 100 permanent and volunteer staff using the office, and a plan to remain in the space for the foreseeable future, it was also important that the floor provided a durable surface.
Blue Jelly put forward Patchwork from modulyss as the perfect carpet tile for the task. With a subtle criss-cross design, the carpet tile met the need for a welcoming, non-corporate look while offering a durable construction using 100% IMPREL polyamide yarn.
The project’s team at Blue Jelly, explains: “We chose Patchwork because of its modern design that worked in the look we were trying to create. The carpet tile’s subtle, non- linear pattern lent itself to the curved inlays found within the building.”
Chosen in the deep grey of 965, Patchwork is used on the arrival floor and main walkways of the charity’s offices, as well as a field carpet to workspaces upstairs. A total of 510m2 of the product was used.
Patchwork is a 1/10th gauge loop-pile
carpet tile rated Class 33 for heavy commercial use, making it ideal for busy office spaces. Utilising Balta Group’s in-house yarn and Chromojet technology, Patchwork, part of the Vintage Collection, also features Back2Back recycled content backing. This impressive combination not only helps deliver a carpet tile with impressive durability, but one that also brings elegance and sophistication to interiors thanks to its worn-effect, multi-layered patchwork pattern.

CENTRE IN STOCKPORT Polyflor’s Sport 67 in Maple was the flooring of choice for GT3 Architects when completing the new £7m Brinnington Park Leisure Complex in Stockport. The new centre was developed through investment from Stockport Council and will be operated by Life Leisure.
