The Orion 950 connects, via Bluetooth, to the free mobile app for your smart device to receive and record data, set specifications for separate jobs, and much more. A built-in ambient temperature and relative humidity (RH) sensor captures readings which, among other things, can be used to determine equilibrium moisture content. The Orion 950 is like having a temperature and relative humidity data logger and a dual depth moisture meter all in one easy-to-use package.
The 950 will also calculate the moisture level that your wood needs to be in order to reach its equilibrium with the environment and will no longer gain or lose moisture. When you suspect that your Orion 950 wood moisture meter is out of calibration, for any reason, maybe you just want to be sure that it is still calibrated to Wagner’s superior factory accuracy standards, you can now perform the calibration procedure on-site, right where you are, in about a minute.
All other meters on the market offer a ‘calibration reference’ that only tells you how far the meter is off calibration, requiring that you still must send the meter to the manufacturer for calibration. This means you are spending money to calibrate and the meter is out of service.
