Bona, the wood floor treatment specialists with a century of flooring experience behind them, have applied their expertise to the development of a unique programme for caring for and maintaining resilient flooring effectively - and with minimum disruption.
The new Bona Resilient Floor Care Programme allows the ongoing maintenance of resilient floors to ensure continual performance, but also allows floors to be transformed when worn or degraded, rather than replaced.
Recoating a resilient floor can represent a cost saving of around 50% against replacing it and is a much faster process than removing and replacing the old floor.

Cleaning In terms of preserving the life of a floor, regular cleaning is the key and Bona’s cleaning treatments work effectively without harming the surfaces or the environment. However, over time and with heavy wear and stubborn stains, an occasional deep clean may be necessary. This is the time to use the PowerRemove cleaning formulation with the Bona Power Scrubber machine, which revives the surface of a resilient floor without the disruption caused by renovation.
Protecting
Over time, repeated deep cleaning and a heavy trafficking regime may diminish the appearance and quality of the surface. This is when an application of a new protective layer restores the original lustre and prolongs the life of the floor. Safe, quick and easy, Bona’s protective treatment (Bona Shield) restores floors and brings them back to life rapidly. Prior to the introduction of the protective layer the floor would need to be deep cleaned.

Recoating
When the floor has become damaged or heavily worn, and maybe patchy in appearance, this is the time that traditionally the floor would be replaced. However, with the unique Bona Recoating treatment, vinyl, PVC, linoleum, rubber and Granwood floors can be resurfaced quickly. This process can produce a complete transformation of the surface as it can be re-coloured and logos or other graphics added before the protective layers are introduced.
