ABOUT THIS PRODUCT...
F. Ball and Co. Ltd. has introduced fully recyclable ‘eco pouches’ for its Stopgap 400 Repair compound and Stopgap 500 Micro floor finishing compound. The eco pouches also require significantly less plastic to produce than the products’ previous packaging.
Durable and waterproof, the pouches are lighter and easy to handle, more convenient to use and deliver extended product shelf-life. Each product now comes in two pack sizes, in response to feedback from the flooring trade, offering contractors greater versatility.
Added convenience
Stopgap 400 Repair is now available in 5kg and 10kg eco pouches, while Stopgap 500 Micro is available in 4kg and 8kg eco pouches.

Stopgap 500 Micro is a rapid-drying floor finishing compound for creating a smooth surface over plywood and other rigid, dry, absorbent surfaces, prior to the installation of floorcoverings.
Ongoing initiatives
The launch of the new eco pouches follows other packaging innovations aimed at reducing the amount of plastic waste within the flooring industry. These include the introduction of fully recyclable 5-litre plastic bottles for the company’s gauging liquids, primers and tackifiers which are themselves made from 95-98% recycled plastic and a new 20-litre recyclable bottle for its Styccobond F41 carpet tile tackifier.
