WOONTOTAAL ACADEMY F. Ball and Co. Ltd., UK manufacturer of flooring adhesives and subfloor


preparation products, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the highest standards of workmanship throughout the Dutch flooring industry by becoming a key sponsor of the brand new WoonTotaal Academy, which has just opened in Zoetermeer in The Netherlands.


The academy provides technical training for professional flooring installers from across The Netherlands. It is also planned that the facility, the first of its kind in the country, will serve as a centre for vocational and apprenticeship training courses. F. Ball will help to facilitate the courses by providing products and materials, as well as access to the company’s wealth of flooring expertise.

INSTARMAC CELEBRATES TOP HONOUR FOR


NINTH YEAR Staffordshire-based manufacturer, Instarmac Group plc, is delighted to have been placed in the prestigious ‘Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For’ list for the ninth year. This honour is in recognition of their commitment to more than 175 employees.

ATKINSON & KIRBY ANNOUNCES NEW SPECIFICATION SALES


MANAGER Atkinson & Kirby has boosted its growing specification team with the appointment of Andrew Smyth as Specification Sales Manager for London and the South East.


Prior to his role at Atkinson & Kirby, Andrew worked with some of the industry’s best known wood flooring brands, building his career with Kährs, Ted Todd and more recently, Boen.


Having been in the industry since 1996, Andrew’s vast sales experience has led him to work in a variety of sectors, including the retail and specification markets, where he was responsible for producing and presenting RIBA CPD’s, designing showroom and display concepts as well as creating sales training packages.


Commenting on his new role, Andrew said: “I’m excited to be joining the team at Atkinson & Kirby. With my knowledge and experience in the flooring sector, I am confident I will deliver what is asked, helping to take the brand to the next level.”
