A new fanless embedded computer family is set to deliver rugged durability to demanding applications
wiss computing solutions manufacturer MPL has launched a new fanless embedded computer family designed specifi cally for
applications requiring support for 10 years or more. In particular, the PIP40 Family is suited for use within the railway, maritime,
defence and medical industries, with its availability guaranteed until 2034. Based on 9th generation Intel
processors, the PIP40 family is built within 19-inch rack housings, and can be built in 1U or 2U housings. In the 2U option, MPL can create two CPU boards or add a managed switch, XMC or MXM expansions. Equipped with Intel CPUs as Celeron, i3, i7 and Xeon,

the PIP40 Family is EN50155 and IEC60945 tested and approved. Some of the key features of the new embedded computer family include up to 64GB registered DDR4 memory, up to seven LAN ports and a number of other specifi cations. Alongside the 19- inch rack housing, the PIP40 Family is also available in MPL’s standard housing with DIN-Rail or fl ange mounting, while further enclosures with IP67 are also available in the company’s standard programme. MPL’s component stock guarantees
repairs for up to 20 years, with extended temperature ranges able to be fulfi lled and tested in the company’s own climatic chambers according to customer requests.
