WATERVILLE GOLF LINKS OLD HEAD

o you’d like to kiss the Blarney Stone and drink a pint of “Gat,” as well as play a little golf among the emerald links of Southwestern Ireland, eh? Well, you don’t need a rainbow and a pot of gold to do it, as a joint venture between the Arizona Golf Association and Southern Nevada Golf Association has got you covered when the two associations host their Irish Golf Tour 2018, which tees off June 2-9. Open to AGA and SNGA members, there are 32 spots available for this weeklong journey through iconic golf courses and famous Irish landmarks. The itinerary of courses includes Waterville Golf Links, Old Head, the Old Course at Ballybunion, Tralee Golf Club and the Old Course at Lahinch. Among the memorable stops for nongolfers (and golfers should they need a day of respite) will be the Ring of Kerry, sightseeing in the eclectic city of Killarney, the Blarney Castle (yes, the famous stone is located right there), the Village of Kinsale, Dingle Peninsula, a trip through magical Tralee, and the incredible Cliffs of Moher. “We might even have a friendly game or two,” said Ed

S BALLYBUNION

Gowan, executive director of the AGA. “The only guarantee, however, is that everyone has a fun-filled week to remember.” The itinerary includes seven nights of four-star accommodations, full Irish breakfast each morning, five rounds of golf, luxury chauffeured coaches, welcome reception and dinner on opening night, private Irish performances, farewell reception and dinner, sightseeing on the Cliffs of Moher, Irish gifts for participants, and refreshments and snacks each day. Not included in your costs are airfare in and out of Shannon Airport, caddie and cart fees, entrance into other sightseeing attractions, and any meals and beverages not specified.
