Shape up for 2018
Premier Fitness Systems
Through its emphasis on training customers to move more optimally, Premier Fitness System’s high-end golf fitness service not only improves clients’ golf games, but helps them enjoy better health. Its service is a science-based methodology based on mobility, joint health and transferable strength training, thereby allowing training programs to be developed on an individual basis, varying according to customers’ goals, strengths and limitations. “Our comprehensive screening process
allows us to discover limitations customers didn’t even think affected their golf games, such as the limitation they have in their feet and how that influences their balance,” noted Andrew Hannon, personal trainer, golf performance specialist and movement specialist at Premier Fitness Systems. A majority of customers’ one-on-
one training sessions will be conducted barefoot to help them improve their connection with the ground, leading to better stability and balance, as well as longer tee shots, Hannon said. In addition, customers are able to improve the overall quality of their movements, along with their golf games, as their pain declines significantly — to the point that
they are able to play multiple rounds without any pain whatsoever, he added. Premier Fitness Systems currently
shares a building with one of the world’s most popular club-fitting businesses, CoolClubs, where it provides two training spaces. One space strictly hosts one-on- one training and is 3,000 square feet; the other, a 2,000-square-foot area across from the larger space, is home to movement, mobility and golf performance classes. All trainers are Titleist Performance
Institute certified and Functional Range Conditioning (currently considered the best mobility certification) master instructors; two have even been recognized by Golf Digest as top 50 golf fitness trainers in America. As a result, they presently work with PGA and LPGA Tour members like Martin Laird and Blair O’Neal, as well as members of various country clubs, including Estancia and Scottsdale National. “By working with professionals
and leisure golfers alike, we have a better understanding of their differences, which has helped us design the best program possible for each individual,” Hannon explains. Maybe you’ll be the next star at PFS?
