Welcome to the August edition of Live 24-7 magazine and what a month we have had. Lockdown restrictions have finally been eased giving us more freedom than we have enjoyed for months. We have also had some amazing sporting highlights to enjoy, with both the tennis and football, culminating in a nail-biting Euros final which England sadly were not able to win on this occasion.

It’s actually been a year since we relaunched the magazine last September and twelve editions I have been part of. As normality returns and more places reopen we are now able to bring you more editorial in our live entertainments and food and drink sections which is great news.

This month we have interviews with two of the country’s most loved performers who are both appearing locally in the coming weeks. We have chatted to former Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow ahead of his performance at the rescheduled Solihull Summer Fest. I also had the pleasure of an interview with classical crossover star Alfie Boe who is headlining at the inaugural Trentham Live! in Staffordshire which promises to be a great event.

Elsewhere in the magazine, we take a look at kitchens. After months when we have all been spending more time at home cooking and perhaps entertaining, our attentions have very firmly been on this room and if you feel yours needs a revamp or refreshing, we have plenty to inspire you. We also have some delicious recipes for you to try at home – this month featuring avocado.

Finally we turn our attentions to travel and for August we have showcased three places all with wellness at their heart to help bring a little Zen to your lives.

Enjoy the end of the summer and I’ll see you in September. Sally-ann x
