Refreshing drinks don’t come much better than this yummy thirst-quenching mocktail.


INGREDIENTS: (serves 6) 5 large oranges 3 yellow grapefruits 2 limes, plus one to serve 2 pomegranates 350ml pomegranate juice drink


METHOD: Juice the oranges, grapefruits and limes and mix together in a large jug. Put the pomegranate seeds in a food processor and blitz (with an adult) until pulpy. Press through a sieve into a jug. Discard the pomegranate pulp. Divide the citrus juice between 6 glasses. Slowly pour the pomegranate juice or juice drink into the centre of each glass. Leave for a few moments to settle.

Now that the warm weather is upon us it’s time to dust of the garden furniture and enjoy the outdoors. These delicious drink recipes are perfect to enjoy whilst soaking up the sun.

This slushie is the perfect way to beat the heat this summer, plus it’s quick and easy to make.


INGREDIENTS: (1 slushie) 1 tbsp granulated sugar 1 tbsp boiling water 260g ice cubes


4 tbsp summer fruits cordial (squash)


METHOD: In a cup, add the sugar and boiling water and stir continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved. Set aside until it is just luke warm or cooler. Once the syrup has cooled, add the summer fruits cordial to the syrup, then pour the ice in the blender. Add the syrup over the ice and blend until the correct consistency. Pour into a frozen or chilled glass and enjoy whilst in the garden.
