by rage staff LIVE MUSIC IS BACK IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA STRIKE UP THE BAND!

Live performances are one of the things we’ve missed most since the start of the pandemic. It’s been reported that the concert industry lost $30 billion in 2020 due to COVID-19 cancellations. However, happy days are here again (or at least on the horizon) as the U.S. continues to reopen, and live music concerts are among the events starting to come back. Here’s a list of some of the most exciting live acts coming our way.

JONAS BROTHERS The powerhouse trio have announced their massive summer

Remember This Tour, which will include a Wednesday, August 25 show at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista. The follow-up to the siblings’ 2019 Happiness Begins reunion tour will feature country singer Kelsea Ballerini as their opening act. “We couldn’t be more excited to officially announce we are going

on tour this summer and bringing our friend Kelsea Ballerini,” the Jonas Brothers said in a joint statement. “If this past year has taught us anything, it’s that we need to remember the important mo- ments in our lives. We hope these shows will be special moments for our fans, our friends and our families, and we can’t wait to see all their faces soon.” The Jonas Brothers recently released a new single, “Remember

This,” which is being used as a theme song for the Tokyo Olympics. “Remember This” will be featured during coverage of the games as well as in the one-hour NBC special Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers on Wednesday, July 21.

HARRY STYLES

The former One Director hunk will star in his Love On Tour this summer. He’ll take the stage Friday, August 27 through Monday, August 30 at The Forum in Inglewood, and on Thursday, September 2 at Pechanga Arena in San Diego. In 2021, Styles was nominated for three Grammy Awards: Best Pop

Solo Performance for “Watermelon Sugar” (which he won); Best Music Video for “Adore You;” and Best Pop Vocal Album Fine Line, his second solo album. You can also catch Styles in the upcoming film adaptation of My

Policeman, based on the 2012 novel by Bethan Roberts. Set in the 1950s, a time when homosexuality was illegal in Britain, Styles plays a gay policeman named Tom who marries a schoolteacher named Marion while being in a relationship with Patrick, a museum curator. My Policeman is set to be released in 2022.
