Sensonics Expand Calibration & Site Support Services
SENSONICS is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of turbine supervisory and high integrity protection equipment to industry.
This position has been established thanks to over 40 years of experience in providing vibration, position and speed instrumentation solutions. We are now delighted to confirm the expansion of our service offerings supported by important investment which helps us to meet the growing and changing requirements of our customers.
We have always recommended that critical sensing and protection equipment is maintained and calibrated annually to meet accuracy and efficiency demands whilst also following industry best practice. Return to base calibration services have always been offered
for our sensors and systems yet we recognise that flexibility in meeting this best practice is vital to customers. It is not always easy to dismantle and return critical monitoring equipment and that outage planning is complex and variable.
Our expanded on-site calibration services include experienced site engineers backed up by UK manufacturing and specialised engineering resources. Calibration of vibration sensors and proximity probes is a service we offer on- site and this can be extended to confirm the accuracy and alarm functionality of the complete measurement loop.
Where sensors and monitoring equipment require separate calibration, we can provide signal injection methods to confirm the monitoring equipment in- situ and with UKAS traceable calibrations in our laboratory. Fast turnarounds are
also available on request along with upgrades and refurbishment services for obsolete equipment.
Sensonics specialise in providing sensing systems for monitoring the dynamics of turbines, pumps, fans, compressors and motors. All equipment is designed and manufactured in the UK and therefore our site calibration team have a wealth of expertise to fall back on to support your maintenance requirements and to minimise your downtime.
ASCO Contract Win Plays Part in
SNS Development Global integrated logistics and materials management company, ASCO, has been contracted to provide logistics and supply base services for Phase One of a major development project in the Southern North Sea (SNS).
Awarded by Petrofac in line with its role as Well Operator for IOGs’ development of the Southwark, Blythe and Elgood fields, the 20-month contract will see ASCO service the five-well development via its Great Yarmouth hub, from where quayside services including marine gas oil, water, storage, warehousing and CCU provision will be supplied.

services, storage and warehousing and environmental services in addition to the largest local transport fleet in the logistics sector.
Discussing the contract award, Alisdair Duncan, ASCO General Manager, Great Yarmouth commented: “We are delighted to continue consolidating our relationship with Petrofac, which spans more than a decade, and we are particularly pleased to be playing an integral part in the development of a major project within the Southern North Sea.
