Basic needs of families
Apart from individual physical needs such as air, food, water, sleep, and exercise, families also have: emotional needs (praise, love, trust, security) social needs (companionship and friendship) intellectual needs (education and learning) spiritual needs (exploring religious or spiritual beliefs) creative needs (dancing, writing, art, sport).

intellectual: relating to mental stimulation such as reading, studying and learning new things
