Apart from individual physical needs such as air, food, water, sleep, and exercise, families also have:  emotional needs (praise, love, trust, security)  social needs (companionship and friendship)  intellectual needs (education and learning)  spiritual needs (exploring religious or spiritual beliefs)  creative needs (dancing, writing, art, sport).
