Unit 3 Create in 3-D Bodies in action

Our physical bodies can walk, sit and lie down, but we can also move by bending, twisting, jumping and turning.

Activity 5 Experiment with figures in action

Work with a partner. 1 Can you perform all the actions shown in the pictures on this page?

2 Find all the parts of your body which you can bend. 3 Discuss different activities where two people are in action together.

Activity 6 Make a clay model of two figures in action

Work with a partner. 1 Each make a clay model of a standing figure. 2 Now decide together on an action where your figures can relate to, or touch each other.

3 Join another pair to discuss and assess your models.

Activity 7 Reflect on your own work

Think back to the work you have done this term and what you have learnt. Answer these questions on your own: 1 Which of your five senses are you using at this moment? 2 What did you learn about colour that you did not know before? 3 What did you learn about physical interactions between two people?
