LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT By Jeff March, BRG Apartments, Outreach President

Jeff March

Saturday, July 31 at 9:00 am at Friend- ship Park … Join our industry friends and Apartment Association Outreach (AAO) supporters at the 9th annual 5K 4 Rent as we raise money for rent assistance! Thanks again to Joe Mischell and Cincinnati Coin Laundry for their generosity as the 5K 4 Rent Present- ing Sponsor. Event Chair Justin Seger and I encourage all member companies to sponsor and to pay for the registration of their team members as this is a great event to build your brand, promote team member participation

and comradery, and to aid a great cause … and these funds come back to assist our member companies and their residents in need. Please note the sponsorship opportunities listed in this newsletter.

They are: Gold Sponsor for $1,000; Silver Sponsor for $500; and Bronze Sponsor for $350. In addition, you can go to www.5k4Rent. org where you can sponsor or register to participate. The 5k Run entry fee is $40, which includes a Performance sleeveless t-shirt; and the 5k Walk entry fee is $35, and includes a short sleeve t-shirt. The registration deadline is July 9 for the free t-shirts. You also receive delicious Chick-fil-A breakfast sandwiches … you can’t beat that!! Special Challenge Grant: A generous donor has challenged

us to meet and exceed our event goal of $45,000. For any sponsor- ship that is a new sponsor for 2021, and for any previous sponsor that increases their sponsorship to a higher level, the amount of

the respective new or increased sponsorship will be matched up to $5,000. Thus, fully matched would mean an impact of $10,000 to support rent assistance! Please sponsor today and help us maximize this grant! Rental Assistance and Food Pantries: AAO has made contribu-

tions of $76,000 through April to our four rent assistance and twenty food pantry partners, and the testimonials we have received from these partners and the recipients of this aid have been heartwarming. We should all be extremely proud of these effort; and $56,000 of this support has been paid to Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Apartment Association (GCNKAA) member companies in the form of direct rental assistance. Backpacks and School Supplies: Outreach will have to drop-

ship these much needed supplies once again this year due to Covid-19; however, the good news is that we will be assisting thousands of low income children with the $15,000 worth of school supplies that we will provide. Night Out for Outreach Save the Date: Please save the date of

Saturday, September 25, 2021, for the Night Out for Outreach which will once again be chaired by Bob Wahlke with Towne Properties. This wonderful event will be held at the beautiful Music Hall in downtown Cincinnati. I look forward to July 31 when we will all come together to

help Outreach raise substantial funds to provide much needed rent assistance to deserving families. Together, we are making a differ- ence. Thank you and I cannot wait to be together in person!
