Fancy a drink but don’t want to blow your good health intentions? A Birmingham-based company which launched last year might have the answer – a low calorie, hard seltzer.
Hard seltzer? You’ve perhaps never heard of it but it’s a drinks craze which is sweeping the nation.
Berczy is the brainchild of friends Nick Graham, Nick Johnson and Matt Richardson who first discovered hard seltzers on a trip to Toronto to visit Nick Graham’s twin brother who had emigrated there.
Nick Graham, pictured left, explains: “We arrived in Canada and went for a big night out when we first got there. The next day we were at a barbecue and needed to buy some drinks but didn’t fancy beer and don’t really like wine. We went to the local shop and were hit by this massive display of hard seltzers, which we’d never heard of.”
