Project Forwarding Award – sponsored by Peter Lole Insurance Brokers Winner: DB Schenker On behalf of the judges, Tracey Meaney of Peter Lole Insurance Brokers commented: “DB Schenker provided a great demonstration of strategic project forwarding skills in aiding Hitachi Rail to review its import process for the transit of 135 railcars and panels being shipped from Japan to its manufacturing site in the UK for the UK West Coast Main Line. Specialist Services Award – presented by Transaid Winner: NNR Global Logistics In their summary, the judges commented: “For NNR, the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19, meant that ‘doing the day job’, had become an impossible task, and therefore required ‘out-of- the-box’ thinking to be adopted as the norm. To face this challenge, whilst adding value and enhancing services, needs to be commended and shows a true specialist service. Supply Chain Management Award – sponsored by BoxTop Technologies Winner: B&H Worldwide B&H Worldwide successfully implemented a complex global supply chain for one of its airline customers. This involved all aspects of the supply chain, from meeting time-critical deadlines to shipping oversized cargo. By integrating its partners and vendors worldwide, B&H delivered in a number of areas, not least in terms of efficiency and cost savings.

Wednesday 27 January saw the release of episode three of the series celebrating the Cool & Special Cargoes Award and the Extra Mile Award. Cool & Special Cargoes Award – sponsored by TT Club Winner: Gist Michael Yarwood, TT Club managing director loss prevention, commented: “Developing a bespoke cool supply chain solution with a UK partner, Gist was able to meet customer demands.
