outlook, goals, and changes you want to make in the new year. This year more than ever, we look forward to what we had at the beginning of 2020: handshakes, hugs, and meetings. Can you remember ever saying you wanted to go to a meeting? We are all looking forward to that time again, personally, professionally, and at the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Apartment Association (GCNKAA). Our
plan this year is to have the first half of the year virtually with the exception of the Walk Run event and summer golf event. The goal it to host our first in-person meetings starting in late summer with our trade show now planned for August. I can’t wait.. Hindsight is really 2020 now! It’s important we do an over-
view of the great accomplishments GCNKAA had in 2020. Our organization has always had the good fortune of being a tight knit group; one of sharing, caring, and giving. The year 2020 proved during tough times we will stick together. Our organization im-
mediately pivoted to virtual meetings for committees, educational sessions, and legislative events. We hosted operational best prac- tice calls every two weeks just to share and ensure our members had the most up-to-date information. We hosted supplier meet- ings, a virtual business exchange, and several general membership meetings. We kept moving forward with business as usual. I must give a special shout out to Outreach Board President Jeff March with BRG Apartments, and the Night Out Chair Bob Wahlke with Towne Properties. This group raised more than $232,000 for the Night Out event that didn’t happen. This is a new record and a testament to their hard work and the sharing and caring our orga- nization offers and makes it so special. Great job. We welcome Calloway Cleaning and Restoration as a
