By Lorena Rodgers T

he owner of Beauty and the Brows loved working in esthetics from the moment she picked up a makeup

brush in her high school cosmetology class, and after brief detour working in computer engineering, Parmar decided to risk it all and follow her passion. She started working from home, with her

young daughters sometimes present in appointments, and through dedication and perseverance she later opened her own salon. She offers many beauty services including makeup artistry, microblading, lash extensions, facials and more. Parmar continues to expand her

knowledge and her business, earning over 30 certifications. “I learn and soak in as much as I can. I have opened my own academy to teach students and help them achieve their hearts’ desires and heights like I once wanted.” When COVID pandemic restrictions

forced temporary closures, Parmar found a way to adapt. She shifted gears into retail, designing beauty products for clients to use at home until they could return to the salon. Retail package sales kept business alive,

and she is continuing to build. Working with cosmetic chemists all around the world, “We are now in full swing designing our own skincare line for Beauty and the Brows.” Her academy is adapting, too, starting with content for online learning. Parmar says the true measure of success

is in relationships. “To be able to help women feel and look beautiful is the biggest reward of my career. To see my clients’ hearts and smiles light up as they feel beautiful is so beautiful within itself.” But she also sees empowerment. “[I

love] to help and inspire women and let them know they can do anything they want to as long as they put their whole soul into their work. And to be able to inspire my own young daughters that anything is possible—women run business, women run companies—we can achieve anything.”
