Shipping is to be included in the latest series of the Discovery Channel’s ‘Mega Shippers’ programme. The show tracks a small number of impressive operations worldwide. The two episodes follow AAL’s shipment in early 2020 of six giant RTGs from Shanghai, China, to Miami, Florida, US on the 31,000-tonne AAL Newcastle. The programme’s managing


director and executive producer David Notman-Watt, said: “AAL’s support for this series allowed our fi lm crew to capture some remarkable footage of this extraordinary shipment. Moves like this are rarely seen on television, and it is a privilege to capture the team that make it happen at both ends of the process.
