A Trio of Brockmans Negronis for Negroni Week


It’s a double celebration this month.


Not only is Venue Insight making a welcome return after lockdown, but Negroni Week is occurring from 14-20th September.


To honour this deliciously famous classic, Brockmans Gin is recommending a trio of alternative recipes. The classic combination of 3 equal measures of gin, Campari and red vermouth is hard to beat.


However, when you have an astonishing gin to hand, creating some slightly surprising twists on the negroni theme can produce some delicious surprises.


We bring you three simple and distinctive negroni recipes. Each has three main ingredients and so all are easy and quick to serve, even with the socially distanced rules that apply behind the bar.


Summer Negroni


50ml Brockmans Gin 25ml Antica Formula 25ml Aperol 4 raspberries


Muddle 4 raspberries in a shaker and then add ice cubes and all the other ingredients. Shake until chilled. Double strain into a rocks glass over an ice ball.


Garnish with a thin slice of dehydrated orange


Negroni Blanco


35ml Brockmans Gin 35ml Luxardo Bitter Bianco


40ml sparkling grapefruit (20ml grapefruit juice / 20ml soda water)


Fill a tumbler glass with ice cubes then add 35ml Brockmans Gin and 35ml Luxardo Bitter Bianco and top with equal measures of grapefruit juice and soda water (40ml in total). Give it a gentle stir in the glass.


Garnish with a thin wedge of pink grapefruit


Sundown Vermouth


35ml Brockmans Gin 25ml rosso (red) vermouth 15ml triple sec


Fill an old-fashioned glass with


ice cubes. Pour in the Brockmans Gin, the rosso vermouth and triple sec and stir in the glass.


Garnish with a thin slice of dehydrated orange
