Prep School - ages 2 to 13 - Taverham, Norfolk Senior School - ages 10 to 18 - Loddon, Norfolk

September 2020

Langley Prep School is delighted to welcome back pupils for the new school term. With an award-winning wellbeing provision, their nurturing environment both in and outside the classroom ensures that every child has the support and space to grow. They have a trained mental health instructor and several mental health first aiders and an initiative to roll out the training to every staff member, so that pupils have a support network around them through all stages of their learning and development.

Prioritising wellbeing has earned them the nationally recognised

Wellbeing Award for Schools for both our Langley Prep and Senior School, and they know that parents see it is a symbol of trust and a mark of quality. They carry this award with great pride as they guide pupils and parents through a very different return to school this year.

Provisions such as their Forest School and outdoor lessons, mindfulness practice, Time for You room and Pre-Prep Brave corner, Thoughtful Thursdays, mental health toolkits and their wellbeing dog, Honey, are all part of everyday life for their pupils.

Our commitment is to enable every student to become a ‘game changer’; confident young people with amazing skills, powerful voices, with the ability to make their mark on the world, and a valued contribution to society.

They combine the highest expectations and aspirations for our students and believe education should be enjoyable. They recognise that every student has their own individual strengths, gifts and talents; and we aim to ensure that these

are all developed to their full potential.

They are committed to ensuring all their students succeed, and are determined there be no ceiling to student experience or outcomes, that they make the best of the opportunities and experiences available to them at the Academy, to become the very best version of themselves.

They aim to fire their students’ imaginations and bring learning to life, preparing them for the world of work, apprenticeships or higher education.

Their curriculum has been designed to teach the skills fundamental to a successful life, with great emphasis placed on leadership, teamwork, literacy, creative problem solving and innovation.

Their core purpose is to transform the education and life chances of, not only individuals, but also the local community, creating ‘game changers’ who make a difference.
