n 18 August, the Marina Industries Association (MIA) announced that Butchart Marine Services
has increased its support for the MIA by moving from bronze level to silver sponsorship. Butchart Marine Services distributes Roodberg boat handling machinery, Brownell Boat Stands, Capria Dry Stacking

Milestone for dry stack builder
Buenos Aires-based CAPRIA SA has reached a milestone in installations. Over 7,000 berths of its innovative dry stack boat storage and launching solution are now in operation worldwide. The company also has an additional three projects underway that will add 1,700 dry stack berths to its inventory. “With the opening of our

New President for ICOMIA
Following the 54th ICOMIA Annual General Meeting on 22 May, 2020, Sara Anghel was elected as the organisation’s new President. She has been President of the National Marine Manufacturers Association of Canada for more than 12 years and has nearly 25 years of government relations experience, including her efforts to bring harmonised standards between the US and Canada. Sara Anghel said, “It is an honour and privilege to become ICOMIA President. I commit to the global recreational boating industry that I shall work tirelessly to steer through this most difficult time while charting the future growth of the industry and ICOMIA”. At the Annual General Meeting, a
number of additional ICOMIA positions were voted on, welcoming two new members to the Executive Committee: Lawrence Chow, Chair of the Hong Kong Boating Industry Association; and Lesley Robinson, CEO of British Marine.
