MSP set to launch consultation calling for regulation of electricians
s CABLEtalk went to press, an MSP was preparing to launch a consultation exercise which he hopes will lead to the introduction
of a Member’s Bill calling for regulation of electricians. Jamie Halcro Johnston is backing the call for protection of title, which would ensure that only properly qualifi ed and experienced professionals could call themselves an electrician.
Once issued, his consultation will seek the views of the wider industry, including SELECT Members, in the hope of making that a reality.
