Inside ICI Call for Papers, Institute Awards Announcement


T


his is a CALL FOR PAPERS for the 67th Technical Conference and Expo, to be hosted by the Investment Casting Institute on a virtual platform.


To be considered for this year’s Technical Conference, papers should adhere to the following criteria: • The paper must be technical in nature and not a sales pitch. (Commercialism of any kind will not be accepted).


• It is preferred that the paper represents a collaboration with or data from a foundry where the topic of discussion has been applied.


• Papers approved for the 15th World Conference on Investment Casting may be submitted for the 2020 event, but if accepted, they will be removed from the WCIC agenda for 2021. Abstracts are due no later than August 1st. Papers should


address technical advancements, cost reduction, improved quality or continuous improvement techniques that enhance competitiveness. Of greatest interest are technologies and methods that will have an immediate impact on a foundry operation or that will make casting manufacturers more competitive. The ICI also seeks papers from suppliers for the
