L the different decisions

ast 5 of June, the EICF AISBL held its Annual General Assembly this time online due to the impair in

ap-

proved by the General Assembly were the nomination of the Board members composition and the appointment of Mrs. Magdalena Nizik as Vice Chair- woman of the EICF Association.

In preparation for the EICF AGM

the Board of Directors held on the 3 of June an online meeting dealing with the ordinary course of business and adopting the different resolutions to be submitted to the General Assembly for

®

ratification. The meeting allowed also to share impressions on the effect of the Covid-19 outbreak into the Invest- ment Casting industry from the differ- ent perspectives of the supply chain. Being the first time ever an official EICF Board of Directors was held online, the experience was very positive allowing effective interchange of ideas and de- bate around the decisions to be taken. The EICF planning of events for the fol- lowing years are well in place and the Board manifested their commitment of those events in support of the recovery of the industry and the reinstatement of networking in the years to come. 31th International Conference & Exhibition was confirmed to be held in Bregenz

(Austria) next 9 to 12 of May 2021 whilst the 32nd International Conference & Exhibition should be held in Santander (Spain) 15 to 18 of May 2022.

Although year 2020 shall be repre-

senting a strong setback for the EICF fi- nances, the Board was confident on the prudent reserves policy applied by the Association during the last years which is allowing to cope with the 2020 fi- nance losses without any detriment into the EICF activities aimed for the mem- bers and the commitment needed from the Association to support the members strategies in the recovery process.
