Covid-19 has certainly required companies across just about every industry—essential or not—to alter how they work, especially if that work requires in-person customer contact and site work, which is central to much of the work done in the wire rope industry. Despite numerous setbacks and deviations, many


industry companies report that they’re making do and hanging on, while some report reasonably strong demand. To that end, a large majority of WRE

members and associates have reported that they’re still providing most, if not all, of their products and services. With adaptation and perseverance on everyone’s minds these days, many of the companies we’ve talked with recently expect activity later this year to be back on par with, if not even better than, the same period from a year ago.
