T

he Calne Clean Up Crew was set up by Catherine Crofts in February 2018, we catch with

Catherine to find out more.

“I run a cleaning and gardening business so I guess cleaning is in my blood - I was fed up with the amount of litter everywhere and thought rather than let it bother me I ought to be proactive about the situation,” explains Catherine.

relaxed as possible so there are no set dates or commitments so it can fit around peoples busy lives!

one thing we all have in common is that we all are fed up with litter! We also have Duke of Edinburgh volunteers who cover areas for us, some have even decided to carry on after their D of E has finished which is great!

“In addition to our volunteers we have also been supported with grants from the Area Board, Calne Bike Meet, Green Square (for an art project) and Hills have provided
