Spring is the perfect time to scoop up the kids and spend quality time outdoors together, making new discoveries as spring comes to life. So why not try the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt – with it’s bee theme – which comes to Ham House this April.

Win a prize Ham is home to 48 species of bees, and some of them are playing hide and seek in the gardens for the National Trust and Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt. Dance among the flowers to find the bees and learn their names – who has a red bottom and who lives underground? You may be rewarded for your endeavour with a chocolate prize.

We’re doing all we can for the bees and other pollinators. Right now, at Ham House ½ million bulbs are

transforming the historic walled garden – see swathes of crocus, drifts of romantic pastel coloured tulips and vivid blue muscari. Close by, there’s a maze of formal garden that is perfect for games of hide and seek and even a wilderness where animals and insects make their home.

Family fun Fun for the family doesn’t have to be complicated – do a waggle dance to find the pollen, dress up with our

bee wing or become a bee with our bee craft, there’s lots to keep little ones entertained. With a cosy café and historic house to explore too there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained all day.

Dogs are welcome Dogs are welcome in the gardens on leads so why not enjoy a walk to Ham House and Garden, just a half hour along the riverside from Richmond station and close by bus stops for Richmond and Kingston. Beester!

The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt is £4 per trail, and normal admission prices apply for all visitors. Why not enjoy all the special places that the National Trust cares looks after for a whole year with National Trust family membership, from just £6.90 a month.
