Compassionate Communication W

three workshops in February to train people how to communicate more compassionately— with themselves, their partners and clients. T e workshops all utilize the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a technique fi rst pioneered by Marshall Rosenberg in the 1960s. All three workshops will be held at LifeWorks East, in Austin. T e fi rst workshop, Connecting Across Diff erences: How to
Like those You Love, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on February 4. T is is an introductory program on compassionate, nonviolent communication to learn about life-changing skills that can sup- port someone in being fully heard and fully hearing others. T is program will interest people who would like more
empathy, understanding and compassion in their lives, new awareness and tools to deepen connection and trust in relation- ships and greater self-connection and capacity to act on their needs. T is workshop may be used as a primer for the following two-day workshops. T e second workshop, Moving T rough Challenges with Cli-
ents and Patients, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on February 5 and 6. T is workshop is for those in the helping professions such as
therapists, healthcare providers and social workers, interested in learning new skills that will help facilitate transformative shiſt s in patients and clients and bring their practice and their clients/ patients to the next level. Twelve continuing education units are available for an additional cost for LCSW, LPC and LMFT licensed in the State of Texas. T e third workshop, Authenticity, Intimacy and Trust: Cre-

All workshops will be facilitated by Dian Killian, Ph.D.,
