03 DECEMBER Flux: Intermedia Norwich Arts Centre

A new concept in the creation and presentation of intermedia live art performance, covering dance, music, live visuals, creative lighting design and performance that will combine large-scale projections and multi- channel to help to create an immersive space within which performers and audience will create and experience the coming together of these different art-forms.

Taking influence from the international Fluxus group of artists from the 1960s and 1970s, exemplified by the likes of composers LaMonte Young and John Cage, pioneer of video art Nam June Paik, multimedia artist and peace activist Yoko Ono and of course the movement’s central co-ordinator, the multi-media artist George Maciunas. Audiences will be welcome to move around the space and should expect a mischievous and fun performance.

03-08 DECEMBER Wertenbaker Seson :

The Break of day & The Love of The Nightingale

UEA Drama Studio, Norwich

This year’s UEA Drama season, running from 3 – 8 December, features two plays by Timberlake Wertenbaker, one of the UK’s most renowned contemporary female playwrights and currently the Chair in Playwrighting at the University Of East Anglia. In an increasingly divisive political time when fears over borders, ecological collapse, and censorship are commonplace, UEA Theatre Productions are staging The Break of Day, and The Love of the Nightingale, two plays with strong themes of feminism, displacement and reclaiming the future.

The productions showcase the talents of the UEA third year drama students, a forty-strong company.

THE BREAK OF DAY 4, 5 + 6 December: 7:30pm 8 December: 2:00pm
