Staff Additions at B&L Information Systems


B&L Information Systems, global


leader in ERP for metalcasters, is proud to announce staff additions in two de- partments. Jonny Appel has joined the Technol- ogy & Support Department as Software Support Representative and will be fo- cused on providing support for techni- cal problem resolution on the Odyssey ERP System as part of the Customer Sup- port Desk team. Appel has an extensive background in team management and customer satisfaction within several ser- vice industries. A US Navy veteran, Ap- pel is currently completing a degree in Web App Development with Lake Mich- igan College.


Jim Eaton has joined B&L’s Business


Development Department as the depart- ment’s manager. He will be focused on bringing the value of Odyssey to addi- tional metalcasting facilities throughout North America. Eaton has more than 11 years of experience in executive sales management for a leading safety manu- facturer. He has also worked in product development and manufacturing engi- neering. Eaton holds an MBA from Indi- ana University’s Kelly School of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. “Making sure we have the optimum


staffing at the right levels to meet our customer’s needs is critical to the sup- port B&L provides within the metalcast- ing industry,” stated Philip Laney, CEO,

Michael Obenauf has been hired as Midwest Sales Manager for the company. Obenauf will assume responsibility for charting the sales direction for the region, enhancing customer relationships and expanding market opportunities. Obenauf brings over 30 years of sales, management and market development experience to his new position with Electralloy. His background includes 23 years


in


various roles with Outokumpo (most recently as Sales Manager, Business Development) and he has also held purchasing, sales and management positions with Avesta and Earle M. Jorgensen. “Michael brings an extensive


background in specialty alloy sales that is a perfect fit with Electralloy and our customers,” said Michael Evans, Vice President Sales for Electralloy. “Michael is a highly energetic sales professional and we’re very happy to have him on board.”


Obenauf will be based in


Palatine, Illinois where he lives with his wife Denise and his golden retriever Bella. A graduate of Western Illinois


University, Obenauf enjoys traveling, perfecting his grilling skills, skiing and getting
