Late Night Shopping in Broadway If you haven't yet experienced late night Christmas shopping in Broadway, where have you been? The lovely atmosphere of the village is enhanced at this special time of year with Christmas lights, music, mulled wine and festive foodie treats. The shops and eateries are buzzing as the season of goodwill gets underway. The local fire service will also be fundraising in the village this year. Friday 29th November and Friday 6th December 5.30 to 8.30pm.
Hereford Head to the High Town in Hereford on Sunday 17th November when the lights will be switched on at 5.30pm with plenty of entertainment lined up before and after.
Painswick Goodwill Evening Painswick is a village that really does understand the true meaning of Christmas. Their Goodwill Evening this year has the theme of 'Extending Goodwill To All' and will focus on bringing out the true spirit of Christmas. Enjoy locally made hot food, Santa's Grotto, a Lantern Parade, craft stalls, Christmas lights and children's games whilst joining in with two choirs as they sing Christmas carols.
Nailsworth Noel Day Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas with the parade starting at 5pm. Live entertainment, fairground rides, choirs and bell ringers all add to the spirit of Noel Day. Most businesses will be open until 9.30pm
Cirencester Advent Festival Christmas celebrations in Cirencester are always kick-started with the annual Cirencester Sparkles Advent Festival and Market. Expect street food, fair rides, live performances, a market, fireworks and of course Santa himself. 30th November 11am - 7pm.
The Faddle Fair, Coleford The Christmas Lights Festival in Coleford takes place on the 30th November from 1-6pm. More than 30 stalls, street food, children's entertainment and live music help set the scene for a fun start to the festive season.
Christmas Light Switch-On Moreton in Marsh Christmas Market and Lights Switch On takes place on the last Saturday in November. It's always a great day out for all the family with a vast range of market stalls selling a wide variety of products. The market opens at 9am and throughout the day there are a host of events culminating with the arrival of Father Christmas who has the important task of switching on the town's Christmas lights display.
Three Ghosts! Inspired by Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol, the three ghosts of Christmas will lead you through the town and remind everyone that Christmas is a time for people to come together. Starting from different locations at 4.30pm, the larger-than-life characters will journey across town to meet up with Father Christmas as he lights up the town with a bit of festive magic at The Promenade at 5.30pm. Which ghost will you follow? 23rd November.
