Exertis has announced the appointment of two general manager roles in the UK. Sarah Potter moves internally from Business, Sales General Manager to become general manager for the com- puting and TFT division and Zoe Doel returns to Exertis to take on the Business,Sales General Manager position.


Phil Brown, Exertis Business Sales and Commercial Director said “I am delighted to have two such experienced people in these po- sitions. They are well-respected, knowledgeable and ideally suited to taking on the challenges ahead. Both know the channel and Ex- ertis well from their previous roles and I wish them every success in their new positions.”


Potter has been at Exertis for six years, the last two as Sales Gen- eral Manager but has also product management experience spend- ing two years as the networking general manager and two further years as a BDM in the PC division. Prior to her time with the com- pany, she spent six years as a sales account manager at Toshiba and a further nine years in various sales roles at Tech Data. “I am looking forward to this new challenge to lead the comput- ing and TFT commercial team. It’s an area where I have gained a good deal of experience in my time both at Exertis and with Toshi- ba. The PC market has been evolving over the last few years, but we have a great set of vendors and an excellent team in place to ensure we can meet our customers’ needs", said Potter. Doel returns to Exertis, having worked the last 2 and a half years at NVIDIA most recently as Regional Sales Manager for northern Europe. Prior to that, she was a business manager within the PC components team for six years, joining from Tech Data where she spent nine years in various sales roles. She has also been rec- ognised as a finalist in the PCR Women of the Year. “I am so excited to be back “home” at Exertis. My time away has enabled me to broaden and strengthen my experience within the EMEA channels. Coupled with my previous fifteen years in distri- bution, it puts me in great stead to lead an already solid business area. I am devoted to my sales teams and look forward to continu- ing to delight our customers over the coming years,” said Doel.


Eagle has more than 22 years’ experience in the technology in- dustry, joining Exertis more than five years ago as head of purchas- ing and most recently as the UK purchasing director responsible for the IT and mobile divisions. She has previously worked for Tech Data, Micro Peripherals and PC World and has extensive experi- ence in procurement.

AV technology pioneer Peerless-AV has announced the appointment of Mikael Wigart as Sales Manager for in the Nordics. Mikael joins the EMEA sales team, which is expanding rapidly in line with the company’s growth strategy, focused on the identification of oppor- tunities and development of the Peerless-AV brand in new, bur- geoning markets.


Mikael joins Peerless-AV from international digital signage soft- ware provider Scala Inc, where he was responsible for strategic customer engagement and sales development for the whole of the Nordic region, working primarily with large customers, key accounts and partners. Prior to that he worked as Nordic busi- ness development manager for a major installation and IT services company. His 10+ years’ experience in building relationships and developing new business in both the AV and IT markets will bring significant long-term value to Peerless-AV’s EMEA division. “Our EMEA business is growing rapidly and we’re pleased to welcome Mikael to the team,” said Melinda Von Horvath, Vice President of Sales and Marketing – EMEA, Peerless-AV. “With his experience, connections and skillset he’ll be vital in helping us reach new customers in the Nordic digital signage arena .” Commenting on his appointment, Mikael said, “I’m joining Peer- less-AV at an exciting time for AV in the Nordics and see huge po- tential for the Direct View LED Mounting and Xtreme High Bright Outdoor Display offerings especially. For any salesperson it’s im- portant to work with products that you’re passionate about, believe in and understand inside and out. These products are in a class of their own, opening doors to conversations about Peerless-AV’s expertise and other new digital signage business opportunities. Based in Oslo, Mikael’s key responsibility will be to grow Peer- less-AV sales in the Nordic region by building a distribution and reseller partner network and working closely with marketing to educate the market through events, product demonstrations and training. Mikael is fluent in Swedish, as well as English, having lived in the UK. He has a Masters in international marketing from the University of Leeds and a business degree from the University of Lincoln.


Exertis has announced the appointment of Phillip Turner to the newly created position of Global Head of Voice of the customer (VoC), reporting to Neal Johnston, Exertis global operations, man- aging director. Turner will be responsible for developing the voice of the customer vision and strategy, as well as taking ownership of the entire customer feedback model including data analysis and insights.

Again, from Exertis, Kati Eagle has been promoted to UK Pur- chasing Director, replacing Mark Kahr who previously moved to an Exertis Group procurement director. Kati reports to Richard Hinds, Exertis UK&I, chief operating officer. She will be responsible for all aspects of UK purchasing including: core purchasing, vendor bids, contracts and product compliance.


“Kati has been instrumental in the day to day operations and development of the purchasing team. The last few years have been a period of significant growth for Exertis and Kati’s influence and impact both within the purchasing team and across the wider busi- ness have been huge. I have every confidence in her ability to as- sume overall responsibility for the procurement function and wish her every success in her new role,” said Hinds.


Kati Eagle has been promoted to Exertis UK Purchasing Director, replacing Mark Kahr who previously moved to an Exertis Group pro- curement director.

His passion for championing the customer and delivering on large, complex proj- ects will be invaluable.” Turner joins Exertis from IG Design Group where he spent four years, most recently as managing director of their licensing busi- ness. Prior to that, he was business development director at office supplies distributor, Spicers, for three years.

Kristian has been with the business for 15 years. Prior to joining GV, Daniel has held a range of senior financial and strategic roles in the commercial sector.
