Children’s Ministry Every Tursday morning, very young children and their parent or caregiver joined a guest reader in the Memorial Garden for Storytime in the Garden to hear stories, play with one another, and enjoy a snack. Tose of us who participated saw God in each of the children who listened with rapt attention and then played together joyfully!


Tweens Ministry God Sightings abound whenever children are involved—and our tweens had lots of opportunities to see God in their summer activities! Boys and girls who completed third grade were welcomed into tween ministry in June. Tey joined the fourth graders in lots of summertime fun, including picnics, ice cream parties, a movie adventure, and games. Once a month, this In “B” Tween group engages in fun, service, and faith building in addition to their participation in DIG each Sunday.


Te fifth graders “graduated” to youth ministry and had the opportunity to participate in all kinds of middle school activities. Teir “Quest 2016” was the rite of passage from being an FPCA child to becoming an FPCA youth with all the rights, privileges, and potential God Sightings thereof!


Mission Mornings Matthew 25:40: “And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’”


Both middle school and high school groups of youth had six opportunities to serve locally on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings this summer. A wide range of service opportunities gave the youth lots of ways to be God’s hands and feet in our community.


We weeded and cleaned at the Sixth Street Shelter and helped children create bears at Roosevelt Elementary School. We visited and played games with

with learning and hands-on ministry in places like Baltimore, where High School Work Camp worked with children in the local community.
