OCTOBER Theatre Royal What's On Norwich
There is plenty of drama to warm up your winter evenings at Norwich Theatre Royal through October. World-famous novel The Lovely Bones comes to the stage on October 7-12 telling the story of Susie Salmon who sees how her loved ones cope with life aſter she dies. It sounds heavy but this is an upliſting creative show with amazing staging and the lead role is played by Charlotte Beaumont, who played Chloe Latimer in Broadchurch.
Meanwhile the Watermill Theatre Company returns with its imaginative take on two classic Shakespeare plays. A Midsummer Night’s Dream sees secrets, love and mistaken identity collide set to a soundtrack from the likes of Billie Holliday and Nina Simone. The company of actor-musicians also present Macbeth which is blazing with tension and energy, and features the fierce rhythms of Johnny Cash, The xx and The Rolling Stones. Running from October 15-19, these productions bring The Bard’s work to life in an exciting way. These versions of Shakespeare’s classics are definitely not boring!
