Michael Dorsman in 2016, this start-up concept introduc- es easily accessible meeting rooms available for rent by the hour and without any mem- berships or long-term commit- ments. In 2019, Meet in Place ex- panded with four new com- plexes located in NYC and London, with Europe and the United States next in sight. Every detail in each Meet in Place complex has been me- ticulously planned. From the city and street location, interior design and finishes, and tech- nological connectivity, each meeting room has been master- fully curated by leading spatial designers to inspire maximum productivity.

Driven by perfection, the founders of Meet in Place wanted to combine functional- ity with experience to achieve an incomparable workplace ambience. Large blank screens were a strict no-go. What they envisioned instead was a digital canvas to display true works of art.

A study conducted by The Harvard Journal of Workplace Learning shows that employ- ees believe art promotes social interactions, elicits emotional responses, facilitates personal

The unique vision of Meet in Place was met through the alliance with Niio, a premium platform for digital art, Philips Professional Display Solu- tions and Float Studio. Philips Q-Line UHD Android displays were installed across all com- plexes and framed in beauti- ful custom-made enclosures. Each screen was then linked to a Niio ArtConsole, which turns screens into a dedicated digital canvas, while providing seam- less access to thousands of cu- rated new media artworks from leading artists from around the world.

Through these rotating collec- tions of high-quality artworks and digital exhibitions, meeting rooms are brought to life with energy-inspiring visuals that re- flect each meeting organiser’s brand story. “At the heart of Meet in Place is a considered design for productive modern working. We want to innovate the meeting space industry and it is because of this that we chose to work with Philips and Niio to facilitate our art pro- gramme: specifically creating premium and changing digital art exhibitions that are avail- able to view in every room, in every Meet in Place globally.”

VISION Techconnect now DDA compliant

In response to market demand Vision are now offerings a black surround in their modular Tech- connect faceplate family to help end-user sites fulfil their DDA obligations. Informally known as DDA, The Equality Act 2010 started out as the Disability Discrimination Act - hence DDA - and requires pub- lic institutions and businesses

to ensure they don’t disadvan- tage disabled people.

The black surround helps vi- sion-impaired people to find the AV faceplate because of the high contrast. To figure out what parts you need to order Vision has a handy configurator on their website https://vision- audiovisual.com/faceplate-con- figurator/

The Techconnect faceplate now has an optional black faceplate for DDA compliance.

After the opening of a new joinery facility in 2018, and recently completing projects with Dior, Boundary Mill, Top Shop and Oasis, SDI Displays’ Managing Director, Ian Wright, wanted to protect his busi- ness. He explained:

“Any business that thinks cy- ber-crime won’t affect them is

burying their head in the sand. As a business we rely more and more on IT for communication with our customers and sup- pliers, so it has become ever more important to protect our data and IT systems. With the wider and more common threat of cyber-attacks and ransom re- quests, it soon became appar- ent that we needed something more

secure and proactive,

rather than being reactive.” Having been in business for 40 years, SDI Displays’ head office hosts a full-scale man- ufacturing plant and offices where its 110 employees are based. Recognising the need to take its cyber security to the next level, SDI Displays turned to CyberGuard Technologies, a
