Exertis Pro AV offers NEC LED bundles
Exertis has announced the availability of the FA series of fine pitch LED video display bundles from NEC. Greg Ben- nett, Head of Exertis Pro AV Solutions said, “We are delight- ed to be able to offer the NEC FA series of direct view LED screens as an all-in-one bun- dle to our resellers and systems integrators. They provide crys- tal clear images with optimum display resolution regardless of viewing distance or angle and are suitable for a wide range of reception, retail and boardroom applications.” Exertis Pro AV Solutions will initially focus on providing the 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.9 mm pixel pitches with screen siz- es from 110” to 165”. The screens are bundled with a power bar, framing, mounting
and controller. The FA Series is engineered with multicolour LEDs that deliver improved con- trast, uniformity and viewing angles compared to other sim- ilar direct view LEDs and have no external cables required for installation. With full redundan- cy designed in for reliability, the front serviceable design allows easy access and quick mainte- nance when needed. Mark Taylor, Solutions Manag-
er, NEC Display Solutions said: “We are pleased to provide Ex- ertis Pro AV Solutions with full access to our FA Series. Their customer breadth and ability to offer full planning and design, installation and maintenance support will enable resellers to offer these products in com- plete confidence and tailored to their end users’ requirements.”
Zytronic invests in complex curves
Zytronic has recently invested over £350,000 into company’s Northeast manufacturing site. The upgrade to glass process- ing and storage equipment in- creases the range of products and design features offered to customers and streamlines op- erations.
Ian Crosby, Sales and Mar- keting Director of Zytronic, explains: “Customers come to Zytronic because the flexibility of our in-house manufacturing allows us to produce exactly the touchscreen that they re- quire in low, medium and high volumes. With this further sig- nificant investment in our New- castle site, we have enhanced the capability and capacity of our glass processing machines, increasing the variety of prod- ucts we are able to create. We can now produce more complex shapes than before, including more curved touchscreens for which there is a growing re- quirement.” Within the programme, Zy- tronic has installed a new 5-axis CNC glass profiler to
supplement the two 3-axis pro- filers it already has. The extra machining capabilities will en- able Zytronic to offer addition- al features and profiles on the touchscreens, such as complex holes and slots, finger dimples and grooves, as demand for ever more customised touch- screens grow. Zytronic has also added a new compact CNC cut- ting table, replacing an older, larger, slower machine. Whilst increased demand for curved touchscreens has led Zytronic to further invest in glass bend- ing capabilities.
Another significant element of the investment was a new, semi-automated glass storage system for handling and hold- ing full sheets of glass before processing. This not only allows manufacturing staff to access the required sheet from Zytron- ic’s extensive inventory of glass more easily and quickly, but also provides a safer working environment. The system has also improved space utilisation, releasing floor space for poten- tial future expansion.
