Bramfield Stepping Stones Norwich City Supporters Pre-School
TO mark the end of the
Summer Term at Bramfield Stepping Stones the Children and their Families have participated in a host
of
exciting events. We welcomed a steady stream of visitors to our open day on Sunday 7th July which coincided with the unveiling of our brand new outdoor playhouse. We’d like to extend a massive thankyou to parents Marc and Michelle O’Hagan who have worked tirelessly to enable the upgrade of our outdoor play area. Throughout the Spring and Summer terms they have sought grants and donations from local business as well as selling preloved items on local internet selling sites. Thankyou to everyone who has donated items or bought from Chelle to enable this project to go ahead.
On 16th July we enjoyed a fantastic day at Africa Alive which included on ‘Discovery’
a hands- session.
The Children were given the opportunity to handle a range of creatures including an African Land snail and a corn snake. We finished the term, once again blessed with perfect sunshine for a picnic for all Children and their Families in the beautiful surroundings of
Bramfields’ Castle Meadow. After lunch the Children took part in parachute games and races, culminating with all Children
being presented
with a participant medal at the end of the day.

2nd Halesworth Brownies Halesworth United Reformed Church
Tuesday Group
THERE was much fun and mess when the Brownies made Gingerbread Men as part of their Baking Badge ably assisted by Penguin, Dolphin and our Young Leaders. This was the second part of the badge having previously decorated cupcakes to express their ideas. The final part of the badge had to be completed at home and many of the girls have done this. Well done! The following week the Brownies designed wind generated
boats and then
measured how far they would travel using different
styled
sails. They then worked out the average distance and discovered which sail was the best.
Design was also the theme for our next meeting when the Brownies found out about inventions and then thought of something they would like to have to make things easier. They had some great ideas and were really innovative! On our last evening we
joined with 1st Halesworth Brownies and Rainbows in the park for fun and games. On our way back we all had chips and we thank Jane and Carl for a delicious treat. For some of our older Brownies sadly it was time for them to leave. Happily some are going to go onto Guides in Southwold. Athene, Emily, Georgie, Isla, Lana and Paige have been super Brownies and we will miss them. They have been the first girls to complete part of the new programme gaining Communicate
Level
2, Innovate Level 2 and the Express Myself theme badge. Well done to you all. We also say goodbye and thank you to Chloe who has been helping us as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award.

NOT long have now been before
the start of the Premier League season, the fixtures could
a little
kinder with three of last year’s top five including the current European and English Champions in our first five games. City have added four players to the first team squad, defender Byram and forward Drmic as permanent signings and goalkeeper
Fahrmann and
midfielder Roberts on loan. However probably the most important signings were the extended contracts given to all our young stars. The first few home games are already sold out, with 21,000 season ticket holders and over 6,000 “members” trying to get the spare 3,000 seats it is fair to say that this will carry on for the remaining games. Our summer barbecue was a resounding success, thanks to Chris and Judy for their hospitality. During the
afternoon we wrote down our predictions for the upcoming season, unsurprisingly we all said that City would survive. Our August meeting will
be either Tuesday 27th or Wednesday 28th depending on our Carabro cup commitments, when we will once again have our Fantasy Football auction,
will Josh
retain his trophy, will Bob relive past glories, will Dave win another wooden spoon or will Charlie add to his collection? All will play out during the season. The date will be confirmed when the draw is made.
