ANNUAL COTSWOLD SHOW 86

AND FOOD FESTIVAL Two days, 100 acres, hundreds of attractions and over 40,000 visitors, it's little wonder that the Cotswold Show is now one of the most popular on the regional Country Show calendar.

Hosted at Cirencester Park on the 13th and 14th July, if you are visiting you will want to take your time investigating all areas of the show - not just the Food Festival! From World of Dogs to Country Pursuits and the popular Shopping Area, the show has something for every age group.

The Bathhurst Arena will be jam-packed with thrilling sights and attractions to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Show. New for this year is an adrenaline fuelled, fearless team of stunt riders who will be serving up a unique show of tricks and stunts that are normally reserved for TV. The Dog and Duck Show is the most popular sheepdog display in the UK and gives visitors an insight into these hardworking canines whilst they herd Indian Runner Ducks. Back again this year, and hugely popular with the audience is the Black Stallion and Falconry display with dancing Spanish and Lusitano horses as well as magnificent birds of prey in flight.

With entertainment galore and music on tap, do remember to take time out to marvel at the rural skills on show, from beekeepers to woodcarvers, the craftsmen and women are always happy to talk you through their work and answer any questions you may have.

You could spend the day at the Food Festival and it still wouldn't be enough time to take in all the local producers in

the Food Hall. Selling everything from cheese and charcuterie to relishes and cakes, there's delicious catering stands too with pizza, pulled pork and souvlaki amongst other delights ready to purchase. No doubt a popular element this year, The Gin Festival will be serving up much more than perfectly mixed gins from around the world, there will be goody bags, informative talks and free samples too!
