Show, held at Dripping Springs Ranch Park & Event Center, was BIG, with 4 hours of trail! World Cutting HA’s Fort Worth Showdown, held at
June 14-16 at Will Rogers Coliseum, made for long days, with 209 entries Friday, 177 Saturday, and 102 Sunday. Lost Horizon Ranch, Kurten, had many alumni of
1980s and 1990s shows in attendance at the June 15 show. Texas High School Rodeo Association’s 2019 year
ended June 15 with the State Finals in Abilene with the next step for some to be the National High School Rodeo in Rock Springs, WY, July 14-20. Event champions include Bareback-Riding (Kolt Dement), Boys-Cutting (Chaser Crouch), Bull-Riding (Jayce Mozisek), Calf-Roping (Shad Mayfield), Saddle-Bronc (Jack Wright), Steer-Wrestling (Tanner Woodard), Team-Roping (Chet Weitz & Mason Pitts), Barrel-Racing (Bradi Good), Breakaway-Roping (Bai- ley Gubert), Girls-Cutting (Ryan Packard), Goat-Tying (Madalyn Richards), Pole Bending (Reagan Davis), and Reined-Cow-Horse (Trevor Hale).

Auburn University on May 4, ending her 4-year career on the War Eagles equestrian team as the reining MVP, with 11 vic- tories. While Ali was a member, the team earned 3 national championships, 2 Southeastern Conference championships and a 61-10 overall record. She has gone to work for United Rentals in Charlotte, NC.
Bradey Davis, Texarkana, did great at Acadian Cutting
Horse Association’s May 18-19 shows in Gonzales, LA. The first day, he won the Open on Reverenquintanspoon for Josh and Brittany Arabie and the $5K Novice on Rockin Smart for David and Kelli Burba. The next day, Bradey and Rockin Smart won both the $5K Novice and the $25K Novice!
Sydney Grimland graduated from Bushland High
School on May 23, and plans to attend West Texas A&M University this fall. Her goals are to earn a pre-vet degree in animal science and then attend vet school at TAMU.
Halie Rhodes, Aubrey, and Cupcake’s 16.598 won the
Open 1D Barrels at the Visa Texas Slide in Denton May 24. Bristol Carson Hendryxwas born May 26 to Emily and
Luke Hendryx of Alpine. She is also welcomed by big sister Brooklyn and a loving extended family.
Chasity Griffin, Pioneer, LA, was recently named as
Girls’ Softball Coach of the Year by Louisiana Sports Writ- ers’ Association. She coaches at Forest High School.
Patty Campbell, Whitesboro, was recently added to
American Paint Horse Association’s judges list. Renlly Genell Ochettowas born May 31, eagerly wel-
