Rate it! - write a product review - win a prize!


Rate it! is an independent website that offers disabled people an online space to share views and reviews about products that, maybe, help make life a little bit easier.


What sort of products are reviewed? People can share their knowledge about both specialist and mainstream products. Rate it! covers different products from the low to high tech kit with views about good and bad features. Reviews range from those small useful items to connected devices through to larger mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and mobility scooters.


People don’t know what they don’t know… Do you know “a gem of a product” that could make a positive difference to someone else? If yes, then why not share this knowledge? If you’ve wasted money on expensive kit or used something that’s really no good at all, then why not warn others about the dangers of falling into the same trap?

There are print review forms which we can send to you. We can send you a print or a large print copy to complete with a Freepost envelope to return to us so it doesn’t cost you a penny. Every review submitted each month will be entered into a prize draw!

How do I know reviews are genuine? Rate it! is monitored by the Research Institute for Disabled Consumers to ensure that only reviews written by real people are online. If you do spot a dodgy review – let us know!


Why is Rate it! independent? Rate it! is run by three user-led organisations: the Research Institute for Disabled Consumers, the Leicestershire Centre for Integrated Living, and Enabled by Design and is independent. It’s funded by the Big Lottery Fund through DRILL (Disability Research on Independent Living and Learning), the world’s first major research programme led by disabled people.
