The WAVE June 14 & 15

The Prairie Dog Central is a short line railway that operates one of the oldest, operating steam locomotives in North America. As we make our way through the Prairies, join us onboard one of our 1900 era beautifully restored vintage coaches led by Steam Locomotive No. 3 or one of our 1950’s Diesel Locomotives.

Gathering - East Selkirk June 22 & 23

Running weekends and holiday days from May thru September, we offer a variety of themed events including delicious suppers, Great Train Robberies, Mystical Magic Trains, Haunted Halloween Express’ plus much, much more. Each event is fun filled, informative and family friendly. Departing Inkster Junction Station and travelling to the rural community of Grosse Isle, the train ride takes about an hour. During the stopover visit the friendly vendors who sell their homemade souvenirs, enjoy a freshly prepared hotdog or smokie followed by some delicious home baked pie or ice cream. Hot or cold drinks are also available as well as chips, candy and freezies!

Take a stroll through the beautifully restored 1886 Ridgeway Heritage House, visit the 1 room school house or take a moment in the church.
