FM Update Interserve renews BBC deal


The international support services, construction and equipment services group has retained its contract with the BBC to provide security services across its UK estate. The three-year deal, which is worth £47 million,


builds on a partnership formed in 2014 between Interserve’s security brand First Security and the UK national broadcaster. First Security will continue to provide a range of key


services at more than 90 of the BBC’s buildings across the UK, including iconic sites such as MediaCityUK in Salford Quays and New Broadcasting House in central London. First Security provides the national broadcaster with


services such as: static and mobile security patrols; close protection; mobile keyholding; risk assessments and operating control rooms, alarm systems and CCTV.


Churchill wins Millennium Point contract


Churchill has won a three-year cleaning contract with Millennium Point in Birmingham City Centre. The agreement, which is worth


£170,000 per annum, will cover general cleaning across the site, as well as window and washroom maintenance. An iconic landmark in the heart of


Eastside, Millennium Point is a unique venue destination in Birmingham City Centre. It is home to Thinktank, Birmingham’s science museum, and Birmingham City University. Owned by Millennium Point Charitable Trust, the building also holds a 350-seat auditorium, flexible workspaces, meeting rooms and offices. It was opened in 2001 to help promote STEM projects, organisations and initiatives across the West Midlands area. Louisa Clarke, Churchill’s Operations
