Spotlight on New Members Klint Bush Southeast Texas HFC


Our newest member, Klint Bush, is from Liberty County, a growing rural Texas county just north of Houston. Bush and his wife of 13 years, Shayla, have one daughter, Avy, 8. The family resides in Hardin. Bush is a


member of The Board of Directors for Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation representing Liberty County. Bush is very active in housing and community affairs. He serves as chairman of the Liberty County Housing Authority, president and fire commissioner of Liberty County Emergency Services District #7, commissioner of the Liberty County Historical Commission and presiding judge of the Liberty County Early Voting Ballot Board. Bush started his community leadership at the age of 22 when he was elected to the Hardin ISD Board of Trustees. Bush holds two Congressional Commendations for his community service. He is a lifelong conservative and community servant. Bush once served as a page for the Texas House and later for the Texas Senate. He is vice-chair and was elected Pct. 3 chairman for the Liberty County Repub- lican Party. On a day-to-day basis, he is administrator of Bayview Home Health Services in Baytown, Texas.


Melissa Schirz Freddie Mac


Freddie Mac’s Melissa Schirz is the Single-Family HFA Engagement Director for Texas. Her role is to provide state and local housing finance agencies access to credit and tools to support affordable homeownership.


HFAs can leverage the HFA Advantage mortgage product combined with HFA-provided down payment as- sistance to provide competitive, low down payment mortgage options to your lender network. Together, we can help more consumers become well-prepared borrowers – ready and able to buy a home and stay in it.

Mary Jo Wagener BOKF, NA dba Bank of Texas


Mary Jo Wagener joined BOKF August 2014 as the Houston Corporate Trust Manager and has over 30 years of Corporate Trust experience. Her experience includes a variety of Municipal and Corporate Debt


Financings including Public Improvement Bonds, Housing Transactions, Escrows, 1031 Exchanges, Col- lateralized Debt Obligations, and Oil and Gas Royalty Trusts.


Mary Jo is an active member of Women in Public Finance, Association for Corporate Growth, Government Finance Officers Association, and the Houston Leadership Team. Mary Jo graduated from University of Houston with a BBA in Finance. She is a Certified Corporate Trust Specialist and is a native Houston.
