SEVEN AUSTINS department store staff held a successful fundraiser for Macmillan- Cancer Support raising £1,000 for the charity. Their November Beauty Night has become a


permanent fixture on the Newton Abbot calendar after six years of the event.


EIGHT Buckfast Abbey. Millenium Fund cheque presentation. The Abbot David Charlesworh presents recipi- ents from Rowcroft Hospice, St Luke Hospice, North Devon Hospice, Hospiscare and Children’s Hospice South West with cheques for £30,000.


NINE NEARLY a hundred hard-working children and adults took part in major spring cleans at five villages in Teignbridge. Armed with litter pickers, dedicated villagers got about sprucing up Abbotskerswell, Combein- teignhead, Kingskerswell, Ipplepen and Stokein- teignhead.
