Broken fence The pictures that the clerk had taken of the fence behind the Scout Hutwere considered. Itwas agreed to undertake repairs and the clerkwould contact the handyman. PlantersAbudget of £400would be given to the handyman for plants. Sports field Itwas agreed that the potholes should be repaired and the clerkwould contact the handyman. Parish event Thiswould take place on the sports field on June 15. Noticeboards Three quotes had been received to replace the Broomfield noticeboard and itwas agreed to gowith JRT signs. The clerkwould obtain dimensions and arrange for purchase. Airwalker The airwalker in the sports field had been listed as amediumrisk in themonthly report. The village handyman would investigate and report back. Permissive path The sign needed replacing and a quote had been received from Maidstone Signs. Itwas felt that three signs might be needed. Fly-tipping Cllr Forknall reported fly- tipping in Brishing Road. Dogs CommunityWarden Lova� and the dogwarden aremonitoring a dog after an episode of potential aggressive behaviour. CCTVAcamera, hard drive and extension polewould be purchased fromBrook Security to coverAmber Lane. Signs CllrWaring reported a parishioner commented on the lack of signagewarning of the crossroads atWarmlake/ChartHill Road/Amber Lane/Chart Corner junction. Members agreed the signagewas efficient. Shop CllrWaring said CllrWebbwill be standing down fromthe shop commi�ee due to personal
reasons.Newcommi�ee members and shop volunteerswere needed or the shopmight have to close during the day. Salt binMembers said KCCHighways had refused to fill the newsalt bin as it is privately owned. Donation The Parochial Church Council thanked the parish council for the donation of £2,000 to the church and for the help towards the upkeep of the churchyard.

Co-option JohnWilsonwas co-opted to the parish council. Therewere two parish councillor vacancies. Clerk Terry Ketleywas due to retire as clerk. The newclerkwas looking after the day-to-dayma�ers of the parish council. Defibrillator The parish council had registeredwith the BritishHeart Foundation to apply for a grant towards a community defibrillator. Medical practice Therewas concern that theremay be a two-year delay in building themedical practice. The parish council wouldwrite to themedical centre asking for an update andwhat actionwould be taken tominimise the impact of a delay on patients. Zebra crossing The parish councilwould meetwith KentHighways’ localmanager to discuss safety aspects of thewestern zebra crossing, in particular lighting. Beacon FieldAreviewof the areawould be undertaken to find a balance between disabled/pushchair access and unauthorised access by other vehicles. CommunitywardenAdamMcKinley would continue to hold his surgeries in Coxheath library at 10.30amonMonday mornings.Aparish councillorwould be in a�endancewhere possible. Lighting Councillors approved a payment of £903 to PrimeOneMaintenance for repairs to street lights. Lier The problemof li�er in the village, especially alongHorseshoes Lane and Heath Road,was discussed. The clerk agreed to investigate howthe community payback scheme or a contractor could help, while villagerswould be encouraged to support li�er picks.

Pothole repairs Itwas reported that potholes had been repaired along Westerhill and Redwall Lane. Lier bins The Chairman hadmetwith MBC officer John Edwards to discuss new li�er bins. Sevenwere being considered, five ofwhichwould be sponsored and the remaining two purchased by the parish council for the play area.MBCwould empty all the bins. Sign The sign between the play area and the alleyway needs to be replaced. Play areaMBCOfficer John Edwards said hewould arrange for the pathway between the play area and CornwallisAvenue to be sprayed to remove themoss. Cllr Smith was awaiting a quotation for the repair of the slide. VillageHall TheHall Commi�ee had obtained a grant fromKCC Councillor Paulina Stockell for ameter installation.A newauditor had been appointed following the retirement ofDavid Sawyer.

Pest controlAcomplaint had been received about rodents. Itwas agreed that this issue was outside the parish council’s delegated powers. Neighbourhood plan The examiner’s response had been positive. The field at Herts Crescent should be removed from the repost but everything else remained. The next stagewould be the issue of a final report for parish council agreement. 125 years The agenda for the 125thAnnual ParishMeeting onApril 24was discussed.
